The Columbia masterplan was developed in full compliance with the basic principles of masterplanning of our bureau: correct phasing, polycentric landscaping, hierarchy of public spaces, optimal building height, pedestrian friendly environment, block building organization and others. Particular attention was paid to landscaping – more than 15 ha  were allocated for the central square, Sport Hub, Play Hub, park, embankment, boulevard and pedestrian streets. To preserve the history of the territory, the masterplan draws attention to the “spirit of the place” – the artifacts of the territory, which were repurposed as art objects and places of attraction for future residents.
